Adeline Virginia Woolf was an English writer, considered one of the most important modernist 20th-century authors and a pioneer in the use of stream of consciousness as a narrative device.


Collected here are seven BBC radio adaptations of Virginia Woolf's pioneering modernist novels, with star casts including Kristin Scott-Thomas, Vanessa Redgrave, Juliet Stevenson, Laura Fraser, Robert Glenister and Fenella Woolgar. Also included are six readings of Woolf's short stories by Natalie Dormer, Carolyn Pickles and Vivian Schaeffer.
