Men of Whom The World Was Not Worthy

Significant men of church history
from archive.org

Men of Whom the World Was Not Worthy is a collection of reflections on the lives and ministries of significant men of church history. In these lectures, John Piper explores the glory and truths of God that captivated and motivated these men, their strengths and weaknesses, and the suffering they endured. He also suggests what we can glean from them as we "run with endurance the race that is set before us" (Heb 2:12). The lectures were originally delivered during various years at the annual Bethlehem Conference for Pastors.

Included on this disc are lectures on Jonathan Edwards, Charles Simeon, David Brainerd, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, William Cowper, J. Gresham Machen, John Owen, Charles Spurgeon, Martin Luther, John Calvin, St. Augustine, John Bunyan, John G. Paton, John Newton, William Wilberforce, and Adoniram Judson.
