Series in which Brett Westwood searches for wildlife in Europe's holiday hotspots

Corfu in the middle of August is a place where you expect to find plenty of wildlife, in the resorts at least.

But Brett leaves the Greek island's beach bars behind and, with the help of two local naturalists, discovers a wealth of amphibians, reptiles and birds just a few miles behind the Taverna.

Above the busy Spanish resort of Benidorm he is amazed to find eagles just a few miles from the tower blocks.

Brett is in Portugal as he continues his search for wildlife in some of Europe's holiday hotspots.
He has a surprising encounter with a lizard and discovers some of colourful birds that live alongside the luxury villas and golf courses of the Algarve.

Brett finds one of Europe’s biggest and rarest birds soaring over the busy resorts of Mallorca.

He finds out who the birds are being tracked and monitored by and the efforts being made to grow their numbers on the island.

Brett follows the tourist buses up Tenerife's famous volcano and finds out why most of the wildlife here is found nowhere else in the world.

With the help of two experts from the local university, he discovers birds and reptiles that have learned to live alongside the many tourists who visit the island.
