A 3-part BBC Radio adaptation by Alan Drury of Sheridan Le Fanu's classic gothic horror novel.
Maud Knollys is the daughter and heiress of a rich, eccentric recluse. After he dies, she is placed in the guardianship of her Uncle Silas. This is supposed to be a public declaration of one man's confidence in his brother, for Silas was disgraced many years before. But is Silas to be trusted? Before too long, Maud feels that Silas has sinister plans for her and that she is in desperate danger...
