Voices in the Valley

BBC Radio folk horror anthology series
from archive.org

Barrowbeck, an isolated village on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border in the north of England, has a reputation for strangeness. It is a place that brings out the sin in people. But despite the dark, the cold, the isolation, people have managed to live there for centuries - until the river finally got the better of them. And now the past voices of Barrowbeck want to tell their tales...

An anthology of strange tales set in Barrowbeck from acclaimed British folk-horror writer Andrew Michael Hurley, the author of the Costa-winning The Loney, as well as Devil's Day and Starve Acre.

Readers include Maxine Peake, Siobhan Finneran, Reece Shearsmith, Jessica Raine, Paul Hilton, Tamsin Greig and Toby Jones.
